Shakespear.

What I know about Macbeth and Shakespear:

Macbeth is a play by William Shakespear. It revolves around Power, Guilt, and Gender Stereotypes.Macbeth is a soldier who is confronted by three witches who fortell his fate. They tell him that he'll become a part of higher society. At first he's doubtful, buthis comrades fortune comes true, and he begins to wonder about the authenticity of what the witches had said about his fortune.Macbeth's wife is a power-thristy woman who eggs Macbeth on,questioning his masculinity at the times he second guesses her tactics of obtaining power. Macbeth's wife tells Macbeth to invite the current king to dinner so he can murder him.The play discusses the struggle between men and women, and often times portrays Lady Macbeth in a masculine light. She even mentions that her being a lady gets in the way of her going through with all the plans she wants to do, but can't, because she isn't a man. Illusions are a big part of the story as well, seeing as Macbeth is haunted by a ghost at a dinner party, the ghost of a friend he murdered. A bloody knife also appears in mid air, foreshadowing what's to come for Macbeth, and Lady Macbeth loses her mind near the end of the story, going on about how she has permanent blood stains on her hand that won't wash off.

I've also studied Romeo&Juliet in grade nine.
